LECTURE: ISLAM AND SCIENCE IN CONTEMPORARY EGYPT



Upon the invitation of the University of Cambridge, Dr. Reem Bahgat attended the main lecture of Professor Khaled Fahmy, Professor of Arabic Studies in the 19th Century at Cambridge University, on Thursday, 22nd of February 2018, titled (Islam and Science in Contemporary Egypt). The lecture was attended by the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman in the United Kingdom, where the degree (chair) appointed to Dr. Khaled Fahmy (Contemporary Arabic Studies) has been funded by His Excellency Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Dr. Khaled proved in documents that Islam and Egyptian Muslims in the nineteenth century did not stand against the justified anatomy, and this is contrary the French doctor Clotte Bey's opinion.
